Että tämmöistä maalaisrealismia tällä kertaa.
In March it often blows hard and people call it Tapio`s threshing. In the old Finnish tales Tapio is a forest god and wind loosens the seeds of the trees. This time the wind with the help of the crown snow-load loosened even more. Hundred year old spruces fell down and broke in pieces.
We heard the cracking in the forest around our house that day. Although you know what’s going on, you try to deny it in your mind. In the forests near home it is like losing dear friends, when the big trees fall. But during the spring we have decided to cut the fallen trees and plant new spruces. We try to leave as much old trees as possible for the landscape.
Well, living in the middle of the nature doesn't mean you can control it.
